Chiang Mai - Mae Taeng
1-Day Trek ATVT-T1
Begins with an early morning a 2-hour drive through scenic plains, hills and valleys
to a hidden junction where the wilderness meets civilization. Upon arrival, we begin
an out on several hour foot trek to Akha and Lahu Villages, Entering the evergreen forests
along trail to the emerald-clear river of Mae Taeng. Lunch will be served before exploring
the beautiful environs with a 2-hour raft trip down the rapids of the Mae Taeng River.
Return to Chiang Mai late in the afternoon. (L)

2-Day Adventurous Trek/ Mae Taeng ATVT-T2
Day 1 Begins with picturesque a-2 hours drive through the hill and steep drop
to Mae Sae Junction in Mae Taeng district.
Upon Arrival, out on a 3-hour trek through the tropical evergreen forest
to Skaw Karen village where lunch will be served prior to a 2-hour elephant ride along
trails and creeks to a White Karen village.
Dinner and overnight stay with a Karen family. (L/D)
Day 2 After breakfast, explore the fascinating environs with a 3-hour rafting trip down
the curves and rapids of the Mae Taeng River. End the trip with lunch at the river lodge,
relaxing before the 2-hour scenic drive to Chiang Mai. (B/L)

3-Day Adventurous Trek / Mae Taeng ATVT-T3
Day 1 Begins with a 3-hour drive along the picturesque route
through plains, steep drops and plunging valleys into the Mae Taeng District.
Upon arrival, a short trek takes you down the valley to a Lisu Village
where we will spend the rest of day witnessing their lifestyle and customs.
Dinner and overnight stay with a Lisu family. (L/D)
Day 2 A 3-hour trek through the dense forests take us to a Skaw Karen Village
where lunch will be served. Followed by memorable a 2-hour trip on the elephant
to a White Karen Village on the river.
End the day with dinner and overnight stay in a Karen home. (B/L/D)
Day 3 A chance to explore the fascinating environs with a 3-hour raft trip
down the curves and rapids of the Mae Taeng River.
End the trip with lunch at the river lodge,
relaxing here before the 2-hour drive back to Chiang Mai. (B/L)

4-Day Adventurous Trek / Chiang Rai Extension ATVT-T4
Day 1 Begins with a 3-hour drive along the picturesque route
through plains and curves, steep drops and plunging valleys in Mae Taeng District.
Upon arrival, a short trek takes you to a Lisu Village
where we spend the rest of day discreetly witnessing their lifestyle and customs.
Dinner and stay overnight with a Lisu family. (L/D)
Day 2 On a 3-hour trek through the dense forest to a Skaw Karen Village
where lunch will be served. Followed by memorable 2-hour trip on the elephant
to a White Karen Village on the river.
End the day with dinner and stay overnight in a Karen home. (B/L/D)
Day 3 Morning, a chance to explore the fascinating environs with 3-hour raft trip
down the curves and rapids of twisty Mae Taeng River. End the exciting moments with lunch
at the river lodge before the afternoon drive to Chiang Rai.

Day 4 An early morning drive to visit the historical remains at Chiang Saen,
followed by the impressive boat trip up Mae Khong River (option)
to the notorious Golden Triangle for lunch.
End the 4-day trip after a 3-hour delightful drive to Chiang Mai or drop off at Chiang Rai Airport.

How-To :
Personal belonging
Guests will be provided a suitable backpack for the necessities of the trek
and will carry their own backpack including the sleeping bags and life vests.
Luggage : Most trekkers leave their main luggage at their hotel and bring along only some
of their necessities for the night out such as casual clothes for the day time
and some warm clothes for the night.
Raincoat : A simple raincoat is also required during rainy season.
Shoes : Comfortable walking shoes are more desirable than heavy hiking boot can get
muddy and wet and take time to dry.
Insects repellent, sun cream and personal toiletry items should be packed.
A torch and a pocketknife are also useful while staying overnight in the tribal village.
Accommodation
Guests will be accommodated in the hill tribe houses, sleeping on a wooden
floor carpeted with plies of blankets.
Sleeping bags and mosquito nets will be provided as season necessary.
Meal
The tour guide will cook all meals on the trek, consisting of some light Thai
dishes such as potato soup, vegetable salad or fried chicken, omelet etc.
